Welcome to Miaplaza!

Our vision is to elevate online learning by applying the most successful approaches in virtual education to create an accessible and inclusive homeschool curriculum platform where all students can be successful! Our K-8 platforms include Miacademy, Always Ice Cream, and Clever Dragons, and our 9-12 options include MiaPrep and MiaPrep Online High School. Our student base is rapidly growing, and we’re hiring for multiple positions across several departments! Our expansion stems from our commitment to providing exceptional educational content and our pursuit of new opportunities.

You can hear our CEO, Johannes Ziegler, discuss our company in this podcast:

How you’ll make an impact:

You will be part of the infrastructure team that is responsible for managing and automating our servers and services. You will report to the infrastructure tech lead who will oversee and mentor your work, particularly with the use of the “mgmt config” software. This is a fully-remote position, and your working hours are flexible, but we require a strong timezone overlap with GMT-5 and some overlap with GMT+2. There will be some off-hour / weekend / on-call work that will be required, but it’s a team goal to minimize this where possible.

As a member of the infrastructure team, your responsibilities will include:

* Writing modules for the “mgmt config” software for deploying our infrastructure

* Helping other teams with infrastructure architecture and automation

* Providing internal IT/tech support for our employees

* Extending our infrastructure needs with custom software or “mgmt config” features written in Golang

* Working well with other members of the infrastructure team

* Doing manual systems administration work that is not yet automated

* Cultivating an inclusive team culture

What you’ll love about working at Miaplaza:

  • You’ll be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to innovative education solutions for children who learn in diverse ways

  • Our 100% remote team can work from any productive location within or outside the U.S

  • We promote flexibility and encourage employees to shape their work environments and schedules around their lives!
  • Full-time employees (in the USA) are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance, inclusive of specialty care options like fertility benefits, mental health services, and chiropractic care, FSA, HSA, and life insurance

  • All US employees are eligible for a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), floating holidays, parental leave, and other perks and benefits

  • You’ll collaborate with colleagues on challenging and rewarding projects, and connect through community and culture events
