Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Sr. Software Developer in Test  to join our innovative team at Taller. This role is essential for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through advanced testing strategies and robust automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web and mobile testing, with a particular emphasis on automation. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to define test requirements, enhance our testing capabilities, and contribute to the overall success of our software development lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partnering with product and engineering teams to understand and clarify test requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Developing a comprehensive automation testing strategy to support mobile, web, and API releases, enhancing the overall quality of our software.
  • Providing innovative technical solutions to improve existing automated testing frameworks and support the development of new testing capabilities.
  • Designing and writing robust tests that promote stability and maintainability, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Identifying and assisting in resolving issues with automated tests, collaborating with development teams to troubleshoot and fix defects.
  • Working alongside quality engineering peers to develop detailed test plans that support our release cycles.
  • Improving release testing efficiency by automating common QA tasks, reducing manual effort and increasing productivity.
  • Championing quality engineering best practices across the organization, driving the adoption of quality improvements and fostering a culture of excellence.


Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in web and mobile testing with a strong focus on automation.
  • At least 3 years of experience in integration testing and UI automation.
  • Extensive experience testing web services and RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in developing automated tests using tools such as Playwright, Maestro, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience supporting high-volume traffic web applications, ensuring performance and reliability under load.
  • Familiarity with source control systems, particularly Git, for version control and collaboration.
  • Proficient in using Postman or similar API testing tools for validating API functionality and performance.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS) for data validation and manipulation.
  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership of projects and quality outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration across teams.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, enabling clear communication in a global environment.
  • Experience with Java and React applications is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with observability tools, cloud infrastructure, and distributed services to enhance testing strategies.
