Mentor team members in their technical and professional development. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the ordering and payments functions within Provi’s platform, aligning with company goals and customer needs. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of related projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline constraints. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate ordering and payments with other system components and ensure a cohesive product strategy. Technical Expertise: Maintain hands-on involvement in the design and development of a new ordering architecture while maintaining and optimizing the current platform. Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess and report on the performance of the systems and services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance ordering and payments effectiveness. 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in a managerial role. Strong technical background as a developer with expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Ruby on Rails). Demonstrated experience in designing and building new services using Service Oriented Architecture and REST APIs. Proficiency in data modeling and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, DynamoDB). Proven track record in leading and delivering complex software projects using Agile methodologies. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

As Provi continues to grow as a leader in the B2B digital marketplace for the wholesale alcohol industry, we are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to guide and expand our capabilities for customer orders. This role involves leading a team of engineers in enhancing our platform’s ordering and payment features in Java and Ruby on Rails on AWS.
